Photoshop Tips

Using the Magic Wand Tool:

To select a consistently colored area, you can use the magic wand tool.
By setting the tolerance level, you can determine the similarity level of the
color you wish to select. The higher the tolerance value, the broader the
range of color that will be selected. Use the contiguous check box to select
a continuous color area, or uncheck the box to select all of the same color.

Image Adjustments:

Photoshop has very useful "Auto Adjustment tools." These tools can be found under
Image>> Adjustment. Using these tools is an option to manually adjusting your image
settings. These tools will try to make your images clearer and cleaner.

Making Transparencies for Fledermaus:

You want to use the magic wand tool to select portions of your image to make
transparent. Then you must save your image as a "tiff" file. When you open
Fledermaus, you will import the image as a "Vertical Image." Set your bounds to
your preference and check the "Mask Out Transparent Areas" box.
