CyberTeam
Description
The CyberTEAM is a collaboration of many partners from from California State University San Marcos, Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO) at the University of California San Diego, California State Parks, San Diego County Office of Education, Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE), and middle schools in San Marcos and Vista Unified School Districts with the goal of developing and implementing new learning experiences for 6th grade classrooms. This includes access to new visualization tools, collaboration tools, and open source applications that will make the current curriculum more interactive and entertaining. With collaboration with the National Science Foundation (NSF) classroom cyberinfrastructures (CI) will also be established to help support a collaboration of classrooms providing learning objects such as interactive games, and visualization tools. This project will advance knowledge and understanding for how CI tools can impact learning and prepare students and teachers to be cyber-ready for the workforce.
